Have you ever heard about mummies?

If you say 'yes', then how much do you know about mummies?

I hope you to say 'no'. Because today, I'm going to tell you about mummies.

Do everyone knows who mummies are?

Yes, mummy is someone who dead and became a person covered with bandage.

  First of all, I want to tell you about why they made mummies.

Egyptians believed that new life began when a person dead.

The mummy's soul and his invisible twin released from the mummy's body and lived in a tomb.

This is why the Ancient Egyptians made nice tombs.

In order for a person to live forever, the soul and invisible twin had to recognize mummified.

 

Secondly, I want to tell you why did they leave heart in the body.

When the egyptians made dead person to mummified, they leaved their heart. But why?

Because, the egyptians thought the heart was the center of intelligence and emotion.

 

Third, I will tell you what objects did they put in the tomb.

Ancient Egyptians were buried with their belongings and tomb walls were painted with scences from dead person's life.

The objects included furniture, games, and even food was placed in the tombs for the long after journey!!!

 

Fourth, I will tell you who made mummies.

Mummies were made by Ancient egyptians.

Skilled artisons made mummies.

And they were supervised by government officals like priests.

And the whole process took 70 days!!

 

Fifth, I will tell you how to make mummies.

1. The body was washed and purified.

2. Organs were removed. Only the heart remained.

3. The body was filled with a substance called natron. This substance absorbed all the moisture from the body.

4. After 40~50 days, the stuffing was removed and replaces with linen and

sawdust.

5. The body was wrapped in strands of linen and covered in a sheet.

6. (Lastly) The body was placed in a stone coffin.

Those all process took 70 days. How amazing!!

 

Fifth, I want you to know who exactly mummies are.

Mummy is a body, human or animal, whose skin and organs have been preserved by either intentional exposure to chemicals, extreme cold, very low humidity, so that the recovered body will not decay further if kept in cool and dry conditions.

Mummies of humans and other animals have been found all around the world.

 

Lastly, I will tell you about why they built pyramid. Why were these pyramid built?

The egyptians people believed in another life beyond the one they lived on Earth.

They believed that their pharaoh, who were closer to the gods or even gods came to Earth, should have all kinds of earthly comforts in their jorney to the next life.
